Giving information, Dr. Rajesh Kumar said that Bhoomi Amla is a small but very useful medicinal plant. It is called ground gooseberry because it grows very close to the ground. The height of this plant ranges from about 5 to 15 centimeters. Its color is green and its leaves are very soft. Small pea-sized fruits appear between its leaves, which are visible downwards.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar told that Bhoomi Amla is easily found all over India. It grows naturally in fields, gardens, roadsides and where there is wet soil. Its spread becomes even more during the rainy season. From medicinal point of view, ground Amla is considered especially beneficial in jaundice and liver related diseases. Apart from this, it is also useful in stones, urinary diseases and digestive system problems.
It is considered a blood purifier and its good effect has been seen in skin diseases also. He told that in Ayurveda, the entire plant of Bhoomi Amla is used as a medicine. Extracting its juice and consuming 10 to 20 ml of it in the morning and evening on an empty stomach provides good benefits. Apart from this, decoction of ground Amla can also be taken in quantity of 40 to 50 ml. Its powder is also used, the quantity of which can be taken in the amount of 3 to 5 grams in the morning and evening with hot water or honey.
