These sayings have been completely fulfilled in the life struggle of Sanjay Ram, 40, son of late Bigu Ram, resident of Bengahi village of Nandwara Panchayat under Bairagnia block. After a judicial and administrative struggle that lasted for about 15 years, in the year 2025, truth finally prevailed and Sanjay Ram was appointed the new development friend of Bairagnia block.
According to the information received, the recruitment of Vikas Mitra was announced for Nandwara Panchayat in the year 2010. In this reinstatement process, Sanjay Ram was the only eligible candidate from his caste. Despite their caste being in majority in Nandwara Panchayat, the caste data was allegedly manipulated in the then restoration process with administrative collusion. A merit list was published showing majority of Musahar caste in the list, on the basis of which Rajkumar Manjhi was selected.
Sanjay Ram did not give up against this alleged irregularity and injustice. He filed a petition in the court of the District Magistrate, Sitamarhi, challenging the then selection. After this began a long and difficult struggle, in which one had to wait for justice for years. Despite social, economic and mental challenges, Sanjay Ram remained firm on the path of truth and justice.
After a long struggle of about 15 years, the case was concluded through administrative and judicial process in the year 2025 and Sanjay Ram got justice. In the same sequence, in the grand program organized on the occasion of the 54th District Foundation Day of Sitamarhi District, District Magistrate Richie Pandey honored Sanjay Ram with his lotus feet as the new development friend of Bairagnia block and formally handed over the charge to him. On this occasion, the people present at the venue described it as the victory of truth, patience and justice.
There was a wave of happiness among Sanjay Ram and his family on this historic moment. When he got respect and authority after years of pain and struggle, his eyes filled with tears. He said that this victory is not just his, but of all those who do not give up even while struggling against injustice.
On this occasion, the role of District Welfare Officer, Sitamarhi Shri Subhash Chandra Rajkumar was also specially appreciated. Following the path of truth and justice, he honored Sanjay Ram by calling him to his office and appreciated his struggle. Rajkumar said that Sanjay Ram’s struggle is an inspiration for the society and gives the message that patience and integrity are the biggest powers to get justice in administration and system.
The residents of Bairagnia, the villagers of Nandwara Panchayat and all the public representatives expressed happiness over Sanjay Ram being made Vikas Mitra. Calling it a big victory for social justice, people said that now Sanjay Ram will play an important role in the development work of the Panchayat and will strongly raise the problems of the deprived, Dalit and needy sections.
In the end, Sanjay Ram expressed his gratitude to the district administration, the court and all those who supported him in this struggle for truth. He called upon the youth to never bow down to injustice and keep walking on the path of truth, because even if it is late, truth ultimately wins.
