On the same day, the combined graduation parade of the Indian Air Force took place at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad. CDS General Anil Chauhan took the salute. The flight cadets had confidence on their faces and dreams of touching the sky in their eyes.
CDS General Chauhan gave a strict message to the cadets, ‘There is no runner-up in war.’ Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that vigilance and preparation is the new normal. The real goal should be to make winning a habit.
It was a moment of pride and farewell for the families in both IMA and AFA campuses. Sons and daughters had now become officers. Army and Air Force have got new leadership. This leadership will protect the borders and skies of the country in the times to come.
When the cadets gave the final salute during the passing out parade, the parents sitting in the stands could not control their tears. Years of penance, waiting and sacrifice came true in that one moment. Every smile captured in the cameras was telling the story of the strength of the country.
The presence of foreign cadets gave the ceremony an international colour.
