According to Ayurveda, Doob grass is not only helpful in stopping bleeding, but is also very effective in treating jaundice, liver related diseases, diabetes and strengthening the digestive system. This is the reason that from ancient times till today, Doob grass has been used as a reliable natural medicine in Ayurvedic medicine.
Ayurvedic physician Dr. Rajesh Kumar explains that Doob grass is a common, fast-spreading creeping medicinal grass, which is easily found on roadsides and empty places all over India. It is identified by its soft green leaves, which are visible upwards. Whereas its roots and stems keep spreading like a net on the ground. This grass grows very fast and spreads easily. The main use of Doob grass is to stop bleeding. Be it nose bleeding, wound bleeding or a woman experiencing excessive menstrual bleeding. This grass is considered effective in all these situations.
Effective in treating these diseases
Dr. Rajesh says that this grass is also beneficial in jaundice, liver related disorders, urinary infection, diabetes, strengthening the digestive system, and increasing immunity. To use it, pluck its fresh leaves from a clean place and squeeze them, then extract the juice by filtering them with a fine cloth. Taking 10–15 ml of this juice in the morning and evening on an empty stomach is beneficial.

Its decoction can also be made. Boil about 10-15 grams of leaves in two cups of water and filter it when it reduces to half. This decoction can be taken 30–40 ml twice a day. Also, in case of mouth ulcers or oral diseases, the juice released by chewing its leaves directly in the mouth provides instant relief. At the same time, grinding its leaves and applying it on wounds, boils or injuries stops bleeding and the wound heals quickly.
