Hisar : The controversy regarding a nursing college in Narnaund area of Hisar district of Haryana is not stopping. Recently the girl students had made serious allegations against the college management. They say that they are pressurized to dance by playing lewd songs in the college. If they protest, they are intimidated by the staff. The girl students alleged that their future was being played with and they were being mentally tortured in the name of studies. In such a situation, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission had called the girl students to the Mini Secretariat of Hisar. Where the girl students have accused the chairman of sexual harassment.
Nursing college students say that the chairman constantly sexually harasses them and comes to and from the hostel rooms drunk with impunity. It is alleged that he used to even enter the bathrooms of the girl students, due to which they were feeling unsafe. The students also alleged that girls who do not oppose or cooperate with the chairman are openly given special facilities and even their birthdays are celebrated publicly. At the same time, the girl students who oppose it are mentally harassed and harassed unnecessarily. However, during this time, the college director stood up in the meeting and kept demanding that he should also be given a chance to express his views.
College director comes to hostel drunk
The students say that there is a severe lack of security in the college campus and hostels, due to which they are forced to live in an environment of fear. According to the students, college director Jagdish reaches the hostel late at night under the influence of alcohol, due to which they feel insecure. It is alleged that the director’s wife also uses abusive language with the girl students.
There is no teacher in the college
The girl students cried and said that even if they fell ill, they were not allowed to be taken to the hospital. The condition of education is also very bad. There are only two teachers in the college, while first and second year classes are conducted for third and fourth year students. It is alleged that during the university inspection, only the girl students are made to do the work, so that the deficiencies in the arrangements of the college are not exposed.
One has to pay Rs 10 for hot water
The girl students also alleged that the accountant in the college charges Rs 10 per time in the name of heating milk and water. Irregularities are also being taken regarding collection of fees and fines. Girl students are mentally harassed if fees are not deposited on time. There is lack of basic facilities in the hostel, there is neither clean water, nor cleanliness, nor proper food is available.
The college chairman gave this clarification
At the same time, rejecting all these allegations, college chairman Jagdish Goswami said that he has been running the college for the last 25 years and till now there has been no stain against him or the college. He has tightened the discipline and rules in the college, due to which some girl students are feeling uncomfortable. Jagdish Goswami told that after the appointment of the new warden, the girl students are woken up at 6 in the morning to do yoga and their personal parcels have also been banned. He claims that the real controversy started from here. He also said that this is the first nursing college in Haryana, where evening extra classes have been arranged for girl students.
