If repair is not possible, the user may be given a replacement unit.
However, this support is only for those phones which have the problem of vertical lines or flickering on the display. If the phone screen is broken or water has entered it, then this facility will not be available.
Google’s move like OnePlus
This decision of Google is being considered similar to the lifetime screen replacement support given on the Green Line issue of OnePlus. In the last few years, many brands have had to face screen related problems. Google may have kept silence on this issue earlier, but now this step is going to boost confidence for Pixel users.
Google is advising users to visit their nearest Google Service Center or apply through online support. If a replacement is provided, the unit will also come with a warranty of 90 days.
