Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Raipur on Friday night. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and both the Deputy CMs welcomed him at the airport. On Saturday, Shah will attend the closing ceremony of Bastar Olympics. He also has many reserved programs in Raipur. After the program in Jagdalpur, he will leave directly for Delhi.

Raipur/Bastar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Raipur late on Friday night on his two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, both Deputy CMs Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma welcomed him at Mana Airport. This visit of Amit Shah is being linked with the priorities of the state BJP government, security strategy, and ongoing sports-culture initiatives in Bastar region. The special thing is that on Saturday he will attend the closing ceremony of Bastar Olympics, which has emerged as the new identity of Bastar in the last years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also praised it in Mann Ki Baat. Therefore, the presence of Amit Shah makes this event more important.

The government and administration were already seen in active mode regarding Shah’s visit. It is believed that security arrangements remained tight from the airport to Raipur city.
