Tej Pratap Yadav News: Tej Pratap Yadav has announced to field candidates in Bengal and UP elections. Whereas Tej Pratap Yadav supported Rohini Acharya’s statement on women’s safety and said that I stand with my sister.
Patna. Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and national president of Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD), started the membership campaign of his new party from Patna on Friday. Tej Pratap said that the party’s organization will be strengthened not only in Bihar but also in other states and the party will field its candidates in the upcoming assembly elections, especially in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
Tej Pratap’s big statement on Rohini Acharya’s statement
During the launch of the membership campaign, Tej Pratap Yadav supported the recent statement of his sister Rohini Acharya. Rohini had said in a social media post that mother’s home should be a “safe haven” for daughters and governments should take concrete steps for the safety and equal rights of women. On this demand of Rohini, Tej Pratap said- “If she has demanded then she should get security… I myself am not safe here… I stand with my sister.” Tej Pratap said that in today’s time, the safety and respect of daughters is a big responsibility of any government.
Which issue did Rohini Acharya raise?
Rohini Acharya had written in her post- Giving girls Rs 10,000 or distributing bicycles, while well-intentioned, is inadequate to address the systemic issues that hinder women’s empowerment in India. It should be the first responsibility of the government and society to take concrete steps to protect the equal rights of daughters, especially in view of social and family indifference. The deeply rooted patriarchal mentality in Bihar necessitates comprehensive changes in both social and political spheres. Every daughter has the right to grow up with the assurance that her maternal home is a safe place where she can return without any fear, guilt, shame or any explanation to anyone. Implementing this measure is not just an administrative obligation, but will be an important step towards protecting countless women from future exploitation and harassment.
Will expand the party not only in Bihar but in the entire country: Tej Pratap
During the membership campaign, Tej Pratap Yadav said, “Our target is not limited, countless members will be made.” After the elections are over, many parties become inactive, but Janashakti Janata Dal will remain active continuously. Soon a membership campaign will be conducted in all the districts of Bihar except Patna. There is a plan to strengthen the organization from village to village. Tej Pratap claimed that his party will take forward new politics and youth-led thinking.
