ASI was beating the driver with torch, now arrested in his own police station

Purnia. A unique case has come to light from Purnia district of Bihar. In fact, the policemen who committed wrongdoing in Purnia were arrested in the same police station where they were performing duty. According to the information received, ASI and OP in-charge Amit Kumar of Dangraha OP of Byasi police station of Purnia have been suspended by the SP. Also, an FIR has been lodged against ASI Ramdev Kumar Singh in the same police station and he has been arrested. The whole matter is about illegal extortion, assault and misbehavior with the driver of a vehicle laden with fish. A video of this was also going viral rapidly on social media.

In fact, it is clearly visible in this viral video that near Dangraha check post, ASI Ramdev Kumar Singh of Dangraha OP stops a vehicle laden with fish coming from Bengal. After this he forcibly demands money from her. When the driver refuses to pay, ASI Ramdev Kumar Singh hits the driver with a torch. After this, the drivers of many vehicles bringing fish there became angry and started abusing ASI Ramdev Singh. It is clearly visible in the video that some people are chasing him while making the video from behind and Ramdev Singh is running away with the torch lit.

As soon as this information was received, Purnia SP got the entire matter investigated by Biasi SDPO. During investigation, SDPO of Biasi found the matter correct. After this, the SP suspended ASI Ramdev Singh and arrested him by registering an FIR against him in his own police station on charges of dereliction of duty, corruption and tarnishing the image of the police. Along with this, Dangraha OP in-charge Amit Kumar was also suspended.

However, on one hand, while top police officers are continuously talking about people-friendly police, on the other hand, due to the misconduct of some police personnel, the image of the police is getting tarnished. In such a situation, such action will prove to be an example.
