US Venezuela News: US President Donald Trump has asked Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to leave the country. After this, speculations are rife that Maduro may take refuge in Belarus. At the same time, the support of Putin and Lukashenko is making the atmosphere more explosive. The US military is continuously increasing pressure in the Caribbean.
America is increasing pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. America has also taken possession of Venezuela’s oil container and is now taking it to its country. Apart from this, Trump has imposed new sanctions on those close to Maduro. Earlier news had come that Trump has asked Maduro to leave Venezuela, and if he agrees to do so, then America is ready to give him safe passage to any country. According to Reuters, in the phone call between Maduro and Donald Trump on November 21, the US President clearly said that his ‘time is up’ and if he peacefully leaves power and leaves the country, then he and his family will be given complete security and legal immunity.
Is Nicolas Maduro preparing to flee to Belarus?
After this warning from Trump, there is now speculation whether Maduro is preparing to leave the country? In the last 17 days, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has met the Venezuelan Ambassador twice. In the very first meeting, Lukashenko gave a shocking message, ‘Maduro can come to Belarus whenever he wants. They are always welcome here. In the second meeting, he also reminded that after deciding ‘some issues’ they will meet once again and if necessary, they will talk to Maduro himself. From here the discussion intensified whether Maduro was quietly preparing to take refuge in Belarus?
Putin also supported Maduro
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Maduro by phone on Thursday and assured him that Russia stands with him to protect his ‘national interests and sovereignty’. This activism of both Russia and Belarus indicates that if Maduro decides to flee, then Northern Eurasia is being considered the safest place for him.
What is America doing?
In the last months, America has made such a military mobilization in the Caribbean that can turn into a major operation at any time. Trump said in a recent interview, ‘Maduro’s days are numbered.’ However, he did not clarify whether he would send US troops to Venezuela, but it is clear that America is now giving priority to the peaceful ‘exit’ of Maduro.
Why are there repeated speculations about ‘escape’?
- Reports claim that Maduro said he is ready to leave the country, just needs ‘full legal protection’.
- Belarus indicated twice that its door was open.
- Putin created a secure diplomatic cover with open support.
- The US military is continuously exerting pressure in the Caribbean.
- Trump simply said, ‘Now it’s time to go’
