According to the information, Sandeep, a resident of Suncity, Kaithal, bought number HR 88B 8888 for his wife Sushma on Thursday for Rs 37.51 lakh. He says that number 8 is lucky and hence he bid ithi.
Sandeep Chahal told that he comes from a farmer family. However, apart from property dealing, he also does wholesale business of mobiles. Sandeep has around 12 cars and all of them have fancy numbers.
While talking to the media, Sandeep told that he is a devotee of Lord Shiva and Hanuman and this number is also lucky according to his Aquarius zodiac sign. That’s why he bought it. He will soon buy a new vehicle and put the number HR-88B 8888 on it.
Why did the businessman from Hisar not buy HR-88B 8888?
It is noteworthy that last November, this VIP number of Badhra sub-division of Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana had come into limelight when Hisar businessman Sudhir bid Rs 1.17 crore for it in the auction. However, on December 1, Sudhir did not deposit the bid amount. When the controversy escalated, Transport Minister Anil Vij ordered an investigation into the matter. There was even discussion about checking the businessman’s assets and then out of fear the businessman came forward and told that due to family reasons he did not take the number. Sudhir from Hisar runs an IT company in Bangalore and he had formally presented his side in front of the media.
