Fact Check: Messages with false claims are sent on many social media platforms. Some such links are also given in these, by clicking on which people become victims of fraud. One such fake e-mail is going viral, in which it has been asked to download e-PAN card. When it was investigated, it turned out to be fake. Press Information Bureau i.e. PIB fact checked the claim made in the viral e-mail. In the fact check done by PIB, this e-mail was found to be completely fake. In such a situation, people are advised not to respond to any such email, link, call and SMS, especially in which you have been asked to share financial and sensitive information. Also beware of all false and incorrect information.
