In fact, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning about the cold wave two days ago that extremely icy cold winds would blow for the next four days. According to the warning, cold outbreak is also being seen in the state. Frost is falling during night, due to which crops are also getting damaged. Kanke in Ranchi recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 3.2 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours, which was the coldest place in the state.

In such a situation, even today people need to be very careful, because there is a risk of falling ill even if exposed to a little icy wind. Today, especially people of Gumla, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Latehar, Koderma, Chatra and Simdega districts should take special care, because the minimum temperature here is expected to be between 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. It is also being seen that the real time temperature is being recorded only two degrees less than the expected temperature.

There is a continuous decline in the minimum temperature in Gumla and for the last one week, the lowest minimum temperature (between two to three degrees) is being recorded here in the entire state. The condition of cold is such that people have stopped taking morning walks. It is only after 5:00 in the evening that they start hiding inside the house, due to which there is silence on the streets.
