Venezuela News: America captured Venezuelan oil tanker Skipper in a commando operation. The ship and oil will be taken to America. Due to this incident, tension between Venezuela and America may increase rapidly. American soldiers landed on the ship by helicopter in the same way as Houthi rebels hijacked a ship in the Red Sea in 2023.
The tension between Venezuela and America in South America has reached a dangerous point. American forces took dramatic action and captured an oil tanker. America alleges that it was carrying black-market oil. A video of American commandos landing from the helicopter was also released, which has caught the attention of the whole world. Looking at it, it seems as if Houthi rebels had landed on a ship in 2023 and captured it. Along with this, America imposed new sanctions on the President of Venezuela late on Wednesday evening.

The White House has confirmed that the tanker, named ‘Skipper’, will now be towed to a US port and the oil on board will also be seized. This step has been taken at a time when America is continuously increasing pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
Why did America capture Venezuelan ship?
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that this operation has been done to stop those ships which provide funding to drugs and terrorist networks by selling black market oil. The US government claims that narco-trafficking is carried out on a large scale through Venezuela’s Maduro regime, and these ships are part of that network.
