He had written a letter… He was concerned about Hema ji getting elected with good votes in her constituency… which he had mentioned in the letter and it happened too… Hema ji won with very good votes.”
Amit Shah further said, “Dharmendra ji was a very pure hearted person. I have come here today as a fan of Dharmendra ji, I have not come here as the Home Minister. Dharmendra ji came into the film industry when there was neither much money nor luxury like today. He achieved that position by working very hard.”
He wrote on ‘X’, “Dharmendra ji made a place in the hearts of the countrymen with his acting skills and his acting crossed the boundaries of language and region and settled in the minds of the people. The Indian cinema world will always miss this unique actor. Today, in his tribute meeting held in Delhi, we remembered him and paid tribute to his memories.”
Remembering the late actor, Amit Shah said, “The person who can do this type of role in Sholay, plays a completely different type of role in Chupke Chupke. I have seen many films related to patriotism of Dharmendra ji. I have seen his film ‘Aakhen’ many times. Even at that time, I felt that he is a true patriot. This is not just acting. The whole world knows that Dharam ji was a farmer’s son and loved the country a lot. Dharmendra ji It will be a great loss to go even at the age of 90, may his great soul rest in peace!”
