Avon and Somerset PoliceMore than 600 objects “of significant cultural value” have been stolen from Bristol Museum’s archive in a “high value” raid, police say.
Four men managed to enter a building in the Cumberland Basin area of the city in the early hours of September 25, Avon and Somerset Police said.

“The theft of many items that have significant cultural value is a significant loss to the city,” Detective Con Dan Burgan said.
Avon and Somerset Police“These items, many of which were donations, form part of a collection that provides insight into a multi-layered part of British history, and we hope the public can help us bring those responsible to justice,” he added.
“So far our investigations have included significant CCTV inquiries as well as forensic investigations and conversations with victims.”
Police are willing to speak to anyone who recognizes the men captured on CCTV or who has seen possible stolen items sold online.
