Patna School Timing: For the last several days, fog is being seen throughout the day in the capital Patna. The day temperature also reached below 25°C while the night temperature continuously remained below 10°C. Moderate to dense fog is being seen in the morning.
Patna. Amidst the harsh cold and continuously falling temperatures in Bihar, children have finally got a big relief. Patna district administration has changed the timings of schools to protect against cold. Due to increasing chill in the district and low temperature in the morning and evening, a decision has been taken to change the timings of the schools. Let us tell you that for the last several days, fog is being seen throughout the day in the capital Patna. The day temperature also reached below 25°C while the night temperature remained continuously below 10°C. Moderate to dense fog is being seen in the morning. The district administration has taken this decision in view of the adverse effects of this severe cold on the health of children.
Now this will be the new timing
Patna DM Dr. Thyagarajan S.M. Issuing an order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code 2023, it has said that studies up to class 8 will not start before 8:30 am in all government, private, pre-school and Anganwadi centers in Patna district. In view of the cold in the morning, there will be a ban on any kind of educational activity before 8:30 in the morning and after 4:00 in the evening.
Restrictions will not apply to board exams
It has been clarified in the order that special classes and examinations conducted for the preparation of board or board exams above 9th have been exempted from this instruction. This means that programs related to board exams will continue as before.
Instructions to schools to change timetable
The district administration has instructed all the school managements to follow this order and decide their time-table and activities. It has also been said that action will be taken if the order is violated.
How long will the order remain in force?
This order will be effective from 11 December 2025 and will remain in force till 18 December 2025. After this, the next decision will be taken considering the cold conditions. The order has been issued on 10 December.
