Faridabad: In Faridabad and Gurugram, people are coming out of their homes in the morning. First of all, they are facing mist which is causing slight irritation in their eyes. But the heaviness in today’s air is not just due to the weather, the real reason is increasing pollution. It is difficult to breathe in the city. AQI is continuously increasing, at some places it has reached moderate and at other places it has reached very bad. The average AQI of Faridabad today is between 150 to 250. Situation is different in every area.
Having trouble breathing
AQI reached 214 in Sector-16A which clearly shows that the air is not good. The level of PM2.5 in Sector-11 was 158 which means the air is in moderate to poor category. Talking about Sector-30, AQI crossed 236 in the morning, this level is really troublesome. In these areas, a blanket of fog and smoke was clearly visible on the roads in the morning. Many people considered it necessary to wear masks, especially those who already have breathing problems. After 8 am in the morning the pollution level starts increasing gradually.
This is the condition of Gurugram’s pollution
Pollution increasing due to smoke coming out of factories
In these two cities, the increasing number of vehicles, continuous construction, smoke coming out of factories and stagnation of wind in winter, all together have worsened the situation. Fine particles (PM2.5) present in the air directly reach the lungs and harm health. Doctors are also advising to go out less on such days, drink more water and wear a mask if necessary.
