Vinay Kumar was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers when he reached Mandi for the first time after becoming the president. After this, he along with the ministers and other senior leaders of the party went to Paddal Maidan and also took stock of the preparations for the Jan Sankalp Sammelan. While talking to journalists, Vinay Kumar said that Panchayat elections are not held on the party symbol but whoever gets elected will be supported by Congress and this will further strengthen the organization. He said that the district and block executives of the organization will be formed before the Panchayat elections, while the state executive is likely to be formed during the Panchayat elections.
Vinay Kumar clarified that only the one who the party high command finds suitable will become the District President. He said that for this the party had launched an organization creation campaign in which senior leaders of the party were given responsibilities. Energetic people of the party from all the districts of the state have expressed their claim. Now only the high command will decide to whom to hand over the reins. Only those who are suitable will be given this opportunity.
