CG Police Result: The results of constable recruitment in Bastar range of Chhattisgarh have been released. Candidates have been selected for a total of 1,592 posts in seven districts. The special thing is that in this 464 women have become police constables. These women will take charge in Naxalite areas.
CG Police Result: The wait of thousands of youth of Chhattisgarh is over. Chhattisgarh Police has released the final result of constable recruitment 2023-24. A total of 1,592 posts have been selected and 464 women are also included in these. This recruitment was for seven districts of Bastar range. Now the policing of the area will be strengthened with these new soldiers.
When did the recruitment start and how did the entire process go?
This recruitment started from the advertisement of Police Headquarters Raipur dated 4 October 2023. Two separate recruitment committees were formed in Bastar range. The first committee was in Jagdalpur and its chairman was Bastar Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha. This committee was looking after the recruitment of Sukma, Bijapur, Bastar and Dantewada districts. The second committee was in Kondagaon and its chairman was Kondagaon Superintendent of Police Pankaj Chandra. This committee was working for Narayanpur, Kondagaon and Kanker districts.
How was the entire recruitment done step-by-step?
The first phase was of document verification, physical measurement and physical efficiency test. It ran from 16 November 2024 to 18 January 2025 in Congolese 6th Corps and Kondagaon Police Line. After this, the written examination of eligible candidates was conducted by the Professional Examination Board on 14 September 2025. The trade test for constable drivers and constable trade candidates was held from 17 to 19 November 2025. After all this, on Tuesday IG Bastar Range Sundarraj P. approved the selection and waiting list and released the result.
How many youth were selected district wise?
Selection was done in this way for a total of 1,592 posts in seven districts. Maximum 470 youth were selected in Narayanpur district. 337 candidates were successful in Bijapur, 334 in Bastar, 128 in Sukma, 125 in Kanker, 103 in Kondagaon and 55 in Dantewada.
464 women became police constables
The biggest and wonderful thing this time is that out of the total 1,592 selected soldiers, 464 are women. That means, about 29 percent seats were secured by girls. The arrival of such a large number of women police personnel in a challenging area like Bastar will greatly strengthen women’s participation and will also increase confidence among the public.
Drivers and tradesmen were also selected
Apart from general constable, a total of 91 candidates have been selected for motor vehicle driver and different trades like carpenter, mechanic, electrician etc. This will further increase the technical and operational capability of the police force. IG Bastar Range Sundarraj P. said that this new recruitment will further strengthen people-centric policing in Bastar. The new soldiers will give a new base to the security system and will further strengthen law and order in the entire area.
