Nothing has announced its new Phone 3a Community Edition in India. This phone is not made in the usual way like other smartphones. The company has prepared it with the help of its community. Users around the world were given the opportunity to send ideas for design, software and accessories. This limited edition phone has been prepared by selecting the concepts of some of the winners from these ideas, hence this phone is completely different from other models in terms of looks and use.
The price of Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition in India has been kept at ₹ 28,999. It will come only in models with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The special thing is that the company has made only 1000 units of this phone, which will be sold all over the world. This means that those who want to buy this phone will have to hurry, because the stock is very limited.
Where will you get this phone in India?
This phone will be sold in India during a special event. Nothing is organizing an exclusive drop event in Bengaluru on 13th December. Fans will be able to buy this phone there. Since it is a limited edition, it will not be available in all cities or online platforms.
What is special in Community Edition?
The hardware of the phone is the same as that found in the standard Nothing Phone 3a, but the real feature of the Community Edition is its design. Emre Kayganacı’s idea won in the Hardware Design category, in which the phone is given a transparent and minimalist look inspired by the tech style of the 90s and early 2000s.
Glimpse of community in accessories and software too
This year the company also made accessory design and UI/UX a part of the competition. Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond have designed an exclusive Dice accessory in Nothing’s signature font style.
Jad Zock’s design has been selected in the software category, which includes a new lock screen clock style and four new wallpaper options. These wallpapers will be available in two blue and two purple color themes. Visual noise has been reduced to give the phone’s UI a cleaner, simpler and minimalist look.
Great example of the power of community
Nothing has named this entire project ‘Made Together’, in which the creativity of the people has been given real space. Sushruta Sarkar, a member of the community, was also selected for the marketing campaign. Overall, this phone is not just a smartphone but a special and collector’s edition product created by the creative thinking of the users.
