According to the traffic plan, entry of heavy vehicles will be completely closed in Mandi city from 7 am to 6 pm. Taxi and auto parking outside the bus stand has been banned for a day. Only one-way traffic will be applicable throughout the city. All buses coming from Talyahar to Mandi Bus Stand will run one-way via Sanyardi Bypass-Kahanwal Chowk-Pulgharat. Mandi to Talyahad buses will run one-way via Skodi Bridge-Jail Road. Whereas small vehicles can do normal transportation. The dropping point of all the buses reaching the conference has been fixed near the bus stand.
SP Mandi Sakshi Verma said that different places have been fixed for the buses reaching the public meeting. Buses on Bilaspur-Sundernagar route will drop passengers from Chakkar via Hotel Valley View (Old NH-21) near Paddal Maidan. After this, these buses will take a U-turn from Bindravani and park on the four lane in front of Mallory Tunnel. Kullu-Manali and Pandoh route buses will drop passengers near ISBT Mandi and then will park in front of Bindravani via Pulgharat-Sabzi Mandi-Malori Tunnel.
Buses of Jogindernagar and Padhar routes will park at the river bank parking near Victoria Bridge after dropping the passengers near ISBT Mandi. This route from Gandhi Chowk to Victoria Bridge (LMV) will be one-way. Two-wheelers and three-wheelers will be exempted. Vehicles coming from Victoria Bridge will be sent through Old Mandi Road. There will be one-way vehicular traffic from ITI Chowk to Market and Old Suketi Bridge. New Suketi Bridge from Market via ITI Chowk will also remain one-way. Apart from this, buses and heavy vehicles will run one-way towards Malori on Pulgharat Vegetable Market-Malori road. Small vehicles will be sent as per requirement.
Parking arrangement for one thousand vehicles
Sakshi Verma said that after the end of the conference, spots have also been identified for seating the public in buses. Passengers on Bilaspur-Sundernagar route will board buses from near Pulgharat. After which the buses will proceed via Sabzi Mandi-Mallori Link Road via Old NH. People will be boarded from Bhuli by buses of Kullu and Pandoh routes. The buses will go ahead from Bhuli-Sauli Khad-Bindravani Road. Buses on Jogindernagar and Padhar routes will be boarded from the river bed parking near Victoria Bridge. These buses will proceed from Mandi-Jogindernagar Highway. Apart from this, SP Mandi said that arrangements for free and charged parking for 1 thousand LMV vehicles have also been made in the vacant areas of the city and surrounding areas.
