UP Vidhan Mandal Winter Session: The winter session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly will start from December 19 and will continue till December 24. In this session, Yogi government can also present supplementary budget on 22 December.
Lucknow. This time the winter session of Uttar Pradesh Legislature will start from 19th December and will continue till 24th December. In this short but important session of total five working days, the Yogi government is preparing to pass many important bills. The Yogi government can also present a supplementary budget in this session.
Preparation to corner the opposition government
Some important bills are also likely to be brought during the session. These may include bills related to social, economic and administrative reforms. Opposition parties have already indicated that they are planning a strategy to corner the government on issues like SIR, inflation, unemployment, farmer issues and law and order. Like the last few years, this time too the duration of the session has been kept very limited, on which the opposition has been continuously raising questions. The opposition says that due to short sessions, there is no opportunity for in-depth discussion in the House and many important issues remain unresolved.
No official announcement of session agenda
There will be a total of five meetings in both the houses of the legislature (Assembly and Legislative Council) from December 19 to December 24. In view of the Christmas holiday, the session will be concluded on 24th December only. The agenda of the session has not been officially announced by the government yet, but the complete list of legislative business is expected to be released in the coming days.
