Kurukshetra. Police have arrested six accused in the case of assault on a Sikh youth and throwing his turban at the toll plaza in Kurukshetra, Haryana. People had also protested at the toll plaza regarding the incident. The accused had beaten the youth for not paying toll. Whereas no toll was charged for the victim.
In fact, in Pehowa, a Sikh man was beaten up by toll plaza employees and during this, the victim’s turban also fell off. Later, hundreds of angry people staged a protest at the toll plaza. Had given. Farmer unions have now thanked the police on this matter. The manager of the toll came in front of the farmers and apologized and said that this will not happen in future. Also, all the employees working at the toll will have ID cards around their necks.

Why was the Sikh youth beaten up at the toll plaza?
In his complaint given to Gumthalagarh police post on December 8, 2025, Navneet Singh said that he is a resident of village police station and he comes to toll plaza within a radius of 10 kilometers of the village. According to NHAI rules, his village is not tolled as it is within the toll plaza area. On December 8, at around 5:00 pm, he was going to Kaithal for his work when toll employees beat him up and abused him for paying toll at the plaza. On the complaint, a case was registered in Sadar Pehowa police station and the investigation was handed over to Assistant Sub Inspector Satish Kumar. Now the accused have been arrested.
