Haryana Weather: Cold again intensifies in Haryana. Cold wave alert in many districts as night temperature drops to 5 degrees due to northern icy winds. Severe chill in the morning and evening in the entire state including Faridabad, Gurugram. According to the Meteorological Department, cold will increase further till December 11, farmers and people are advised to remain alert.
Faridabad: Cold has returned again in Haryana. The strong north winds in the morning and night have forced people to tremble. Last week the weather was a bit mild, but now the mercury is coming down again. It seems that the cold will increase further in the coming days. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature dropped significantly in the entire state last night. In many districts the minimum temperature dropped below 10 degrees, making it difficult to step out of the house in the morning. It was the coldest in Mahendragarh. The night temperature reached around 5 degrees. In Narnaul and Hisar also the temperature was recorded much below normal. There was some relief in Ambala as the night temperature remained around 10 degrees so people remained in some relief.
The effect of icy winds blowing from Rajasthan is most visible in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Narnaul. Cold wave alert has been issued in these areas for the next two-three days. Morning mist and evening cold wind can bother people. Farmers working in the fields have also been advised to be cautious. Because sudden drop in temperature can affect crops.
Cold has intensified in about a dozen districts of Haryana. The mercury has also fallen in Faridabad, Gurugram, Rohtak, Sonipat, Karnal and Panchkula and people are feeling chilly. Meteorologists say that the cold will increase further till December 11. The minimum temperature may go down further. At some places the mercury can reach up to 6 degrees. Light cold is expected to increase during the day also.
According to agricultural meteorologists, winds blowing from the north and north-west will further increase the cold. A new western disturbance is also coming on 12th December. Due to which the day temperature can go down further. That means there is no respite from the cold at the moment. People are being advised to wear warm clothes while going out in the morning and night and protect themselves from cold winds.
