Varanasi News: Varanasi will soon see a new revolution on the waves of Ganga. The country’s first hydrogen powered cruise will give passengers a modern and eco-friendly experience. This cruise is not only a symbol of indigenous technology but will also promote green energy in Ganga.
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi will now get the country’s first hydrogen powered indigenous cruise on the waves of Ganga. ‘Catamaran’ will get. Its formal launch will take place on December 11 from Namo Ghat in Varanasi. Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonewal will flag it off. By running this cruise, one will experience eco-friendly and peaceful travel in Ganga.
The cost of this cruise, built with modern facilities in the shipyard of Kochi, has been around Rs 10 crore. This cruise will run on hydrogen energy, but an electric engine has also been installed in it. If the hydrogen energy is exhausted then the cruise can also be run with the help of electric engine. This cruise is completely sound-less, due to which there will be no sound pollution in the Ganga. The cruise has a seating capacity of 50 passengers and will provide a comfortable travel experience to the passengers.
