Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has written an open letter regarding the ongoing SIR process in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav has given a message to his party workers through this letter. Akhilesh Yadav wrote, ‘Dear PDA guards, every ‘PDA guard’ of Uttar Pradesh deserves congratulations, who is performing his democratic duty day and night for every vote. We will record their historical contribution in history by giving ‘citation letters’ to each ‘PDA Sentinel’ and will tell the world that when the dominant forces were trying to hijack India’s electoral process, how our BLAs, sector level workers, officials, leaders at every booth in the form of PDA Sentinels performed their duty and saved the right to vote in democracy.’
Congratulations to PDA guards
Apart from this, he further wrote in the letter, ‘Each of them individually deserves congratulations. In this context, we also consider those BLOs who deserve historical congratulations, who have performed their duty with utmost sincerity by risking everything. We have always been and will always be with full sympathy with the families of those who have lost their loved ones due to various pressures during this work.
‘Voting for their rights also has to be done, which…’
Akhilesh Yadav further wrote in the letter, ‘In such a situation, we also have to remember that due to the shortcomings of SIR’s mapping app, crores of people are on the verge of being deprived of their votes, we will have to ensure that they too get the right to vote.’ This will have to be drawn to the attention of even the Election Commission and the Court and an awareness campaign will have to be carried out on the ground among the deprived voters, struggle will also have to be carried out and if necessary, even agitation will have to be carried out because ‘the right to vote is the basis of all our rights.’
‘The journey remains, the struggle remains…’
Akhilesh Yadav wrote, ‘Understand that only the first phase of the work of PDA guards is just being completed… the journey is still left, the struggle is still left! The discipline, dedication and peaceful manner in which the PDA guards have accomplished a seemingly impossible task is also becoming an inspiration for those parties who always want to misuse power. Besides, this brilliant work of the PDA guards has also become an open challenge for them. This tireless effort has proved that a party which has disciplined, dutiful, dedicated workers has the ability to give a new direction to history.
Reminded the mantra of unity of PDA
Akhilesh Yadav wrote, ‘When the power of organization is combined with honesty and integrity and when the exploited, deprived and oppressed society stands up together, then the ‘silent revolution’ becomes vocal. On our call and appeal, due to the good efforts of the PDA guards, the PDA community, united in the thread of pain, has made a strong foundation for winning the elections by getting their votes cast, on this the building of ‘PDA Government’ will rise. Every victim, sad and humiliated is now united and determined to form ‘their own PDA government’. We have to always remember this formula of PDA unity: ‘Those who suffer, those PDAs!’ Let us all now pledge together to build a golden future which will be full of ‘equality, dignity and harmony’, which will be capable of bringing ‘the reign of social justice’, let us create a PDA society of ‘love, kindness and belonging’; In which everyone remains happy, everyone smiles!
