Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), located in Gaya district of Bihar, has invited special entrance examination applications for admission to 11 PhD courses. CUSB Vice Chancellor Prof. Kameshwar Nath Singh said that this special admission campaign is being run to fill the vacant seats after enrollment in the month of September 2025 for the candidates who have passed UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET, GATE, GPAT, CEED and similar national level examinations.
Written entrance examination will be conducted on 22 December 2025 at CUSB Campus, Panchanpur for eligible candidates who submit application along with prescribed fee through online medium. After this, an interview will be conducted for the selected candidates on the basis of marks in the written examination. To be eligible for interview, it is mandatory for the candidate to obtain 50% marks for unreserved category and 45% marks for OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories in the written entrance examination.

CUSB has invited applications for PhD in total 11 subjects, which include Life Science 8 seats, unreserved 5, SC 1, ST 2, Environmental Science 16 seats, unreserved 5, OBC 3, SC 5, ST 2 and PWD 1, Biotechnology 5 seats OBC 1, SC 1, ST 2 and PWD 1, Bioinformatics 16 seats, unreserved 8, OBC 3, SC 2, ST 1, EWS 1 and PWD 1, Computer Science 10 seats, unreserved 4, OBC 2, SC 2, ST 1, and PWD 1. Mathematics 2 seats, unreserved 1, SC 1, Physics 21 seats unreserved 7, OBC 4, SC 5, ST 2, EWS 2 & PWD 1, Chemistry 20 seats, UR 8, OBC 5, SC 4, ST 2 & PWD 1, Geology 15 seats, UR 6, OBC 3, SC 3, ST 1, EWS 1 & PWD 1, Pharmacy 17 seats, UR 5, OBC 4, SC 4, ST 1, EWS 2 and PWD 1 and Teacher Education 3 seats, ST 2, PWD 1 seats.
Exam fee Rs 750
According to the notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, there are a total of 133 seats for enrollment in PhD, out of which 9 seats are reserved for PWD candidates. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply online through the portal https://cusbadm.samarth.edu.in by December 15, 2025. The entrance examination fee for enrollment in PhD courses is Rs 1000 for General and EWS category candidates while the examination fee for OBC, SC, ST, PWD candidates is Rs 750.
