While fried food from outside can cause harm, special winter laddus made at home provide natural warmth to the body. Here we are telling you the recipe of one such healthy laddu, which is made from gram dal and dry fruits.
Benefits of laddu
These laddus not only warm you from inside but also provide good protein, healthy fats, muscle strength and energy to the body. This is due to the presence of many nutrients like carbohydrate, fiber, vitamin B1, B2, B3, B9, folate, iron, magnesium and zinc along with protein in chana dal.
How to make chana dal and dry fruit laddu?
Material
– Chickpea lentil
– Ghee
– Jaggery
– cardamom powder
– Saffron (optional)
– wheat flour
– Cashew
– Almond
– Fox Nut
Method of preparation
step 1:
Heat ghee in a pan and fry the chana dal until it turns golden. Take care that the lentils should not be peeled. When it cools down, grind the lentils.
Step 2:
Now fry peanuts, cashews, almonds and makhana in some ghee. Once cooled, grind them coarsely.
Step 3:
Add ghee in another pan and fry wheat flour. When the flour starts changing color, add ground gram dal to it.
Step 4:
Make a solid syrup of jaggery by adding some water in a separate pan. Add gram dal mixture, dry fruits and cardamom powder to it.
Step 5:
When the mixture cools down slightly, apply ghee on your hands and make small laddus.
