Our Gumla district is a tribal dominated area. There is still lack of basic facilities in our district. However, development work is continuously being done here by the government and the district administration. Now great facilities related to health services will be provided to the people of the district. The health department and administration are ready for this. As a result of this, Integrated Public Health Lab (IPHL) will be constructed in Gumla Sadar Hospital premises. Tender has been floated for this.
This will provide a lot of convenience in treatment to the villagers and especially the poor helpless people here. Let us tell you that all types of testing facilities will be provided in this integrated laboratory, which will be built at a cost of approximately Rs 2 crore 45 lakh. This will greatly benefit the poor and helpless patients who come here for treatment. While till now limited testing facilities are available here, but with the construction of this health lab, all types of testing facilities will be available. Due to limited testing facilities, people here have to take the help of private labs for many types of tests.

Dr. Anupam Kishore, Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital Gumla, said that Integrated Public Health Laboratory (IPHL) will be built in Gumla Sadar Hospital, which is a very modern laboratory, for which the place has been selected. This lab will be built near the post-mortem house in the Safar Hospital premises. This will be a center where all types of tests like hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, virology etc. can be done under one roof. And this test will be free for BPL patients and Ayushman patients. Not only this, a very nominal charge will be taken from general patients. The biggest thing is that all types of tests will be done at one place and under one roof, due to which the doctors and staff will be able to get better treatment. It will be better for everyone and it will also be very convenient for all the people coming here for treatment. This work has to be completed in 9 months and so we will be able to provide this service to the people in a better way.
