Easy method to make homemade coconut biscuits
1. Prepare creamy base of ghee and sugar
First of all, take a clean vessel and add ghee and sugar powder in it. Now with the help of a whisk or hand spoon, mix it so much that the mixture looks creamy and light. This step makes the texture of the biscuits crispier.
2. Add flavors to enhance the aroma
Now add vanilla essence and cardamom powder to this creamy mixture. Both the ingredients enhance the aroma and add a mild sweet taste to the biscuits.
3. Now mix the dry ingredients
On the other hand, sift flour and baking powder. Then mix it slowly into the creamy mixture so that no lumps are formed. When the dry ingredients are mixed well, add grated dry coconut to it and keep mixing gently. This will create a loose dough.
4. Give the dough the right consistency
If the dough seems a little hard or dry, soften it by adding milk one spoon at a time. Keep in mind that the dough should neither be too wet nor too hard. Just enough so that it can be shaped easily.
5. Shape the biscuits
Now make small balls from the dough and press lightly to give them a biscuit-like shape. If you want, you can sprinkle some coconut on top and press it lightly.
6. Baking Time
Spread butter paper on a baking tray and place the prepared biscuits in it.
Now preheat the oven at 180°C and bake the biscuits for 12-15 minutes.
When the edges start appearing light golden, understand that the biscuits are ready.
7. Allow to cool until crisp
After removing from the oven, let the biscuits cool for 10 minutes. They become even more crunchy when they cool down.
8. Store and enjoy
When the biscuits cool completely, keep them in an airtight container. These remain fresh for many days and taste amazing with tea.
