Chiragveer Upadhyay is the son of late Ramveer Upadhyay, former Energy Minister in the Bahujan Samaj Party government. However, later the whole family joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. His mother Seema Upadhyay is currently a District Panchayat member from Hathras. His uncle Rameshwar Upadhyay is working as the block chief of Mursan block.
