Chandigarh Crime News: Professor Bharat Bhushan Goyal of Punjab University in Chandigarh has been arrested on the basis of brain mapping test after four years for the murder of his wife Seema Goyal in 2021. The accused was misleading the police for the last several years and was evading arrest.

Seema Goyal, wife of Punjab University professor Bharat Bhushan Goyal, was murdered on Diwali night on 4 November 2021. According to Goyal’s statement to the police, he was the first to see the body of his wife Seema Goyal (60). His hands and legs were tied with cloth and a cloth was also stuffed in his mouth. Before the police reached the spot, he took her to the hospital where doctors declared Seema Goyal dead. Seema Goyal’s mobile phone was also missing.
The police had also seen CCTV cameras in the surrounding area, but nothing could be achieved from them. In the post-mortem report, the cause of death was stated to be suffocation. At the same time, injury marks were also found on the head. The police had also taken statements of the servant, gardener and other experts in the case, but nothing could be found. Sector-11 police station had registered a case of murder on the complaint of Seema Goyal’s husband.
