Vikram Bhatt Fraud: Veteran Bollywood director Vikram Bhatt and his wife have been arrested. The police have taken this action on the complaint of Dr. Ajay, founder of Indira IVF.
New Delhi. After Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, Mumbai Police has registered a case of fraud against another famous Bollywood personality. The police have also arrested veteran director Vikram Bhatt and his wife. This complaint has been lodged by Dr. Ajay Murdiya, founder of Indira IVF, resident of Udaipur, Rajasthan. On their complaint, the police registered an FIR, issued a lookout notice and later arrested the Bhatt couple.
Dr. Ajay Murdiya told that director Vikram Bhatt, his wife and 6 other people had invested Rs 30 crore to make a biopic on his late wife. The doctor alleged that he was promised huge returns but did not get anything even after a long time of investment. However, Bhatt has denied all these allegations and said that the police is being misled. Last week, Udaipur Police had also issued a lookout notice against Bhatt and his wife. Bhatt’s daughter Karishma is also named in the police FIR.
Arrested from sister’s house
Sources say that Udarapur Police along with Mumbai Police carried out the action and arrested Bhatt and his wife from his sister’s house. Bhatt’s sister’s house is in Andheri area. He was taken to the Magistrate’s office in Mumbai, from where he was sent to Rajasthan for 2 days with the Udaipur Police. Bhatt and his wife have been sent to Rajasthan on transit remand.
Udaipur Police is investigating
Rajasthan Police has also included the names of Udaipur residents Mehboob Ansari and Dinesh Kataria in its FIR. The police are examining the terms of the agreement, bank transactions and conversation records between the two, so that the truth can be found out. Bhupalpura police of Udaipur is investigating the truth of the fraud on the basis of the complaint given in its FIR. As the doctor has alleged that an amount of Rs 30 crore was collected for making the biopic of his late wife, the police is busy investigating its records.
2 people were arrested last month
Rajasthan Police had also arrested 2 accused last month on 17th November. The names of Ansari and vendor Sandeep Vishwanath were included in this. At present the police is searching for Kataria, who had got this whole deal done. In the complaint given to the police, it has been said that Dr. Ajay had made an agreement for 4 films to make the biopic of his late wife Indira Murdia. Vikram Bhatt and his wife had asked for a budget of Rs 47 crore for this in May 2024, of which Rs 30 crore was also paid. Till now neither the shooting has started nor the money has been returned, after which the doctor filed a case against Vikram Bhatt.
