Moradabad: The state government has given relief to the common people by making new changes in the Building Construction Up Act 2025. The government has taken the biggest decision for small plot owners. Those constructing on residential plots up to 100 square meters and commercial plots up to 30 square meters will now have to pay only Re 1 as permit fee for passing the building map. Along with this, no inspection fee will be charged. While the number of plots of 60-100 square meters in Moradabad is in thousands, this change is a big relief for such plot owners and the middle class and people will benefit greatly from it.

Moradabad Development Authority Secretary Pankaj Verma told Local 18 that small land owners have been given a lot of benefits. The building permit for residential plots of 100 square meters and commercial plots of 30 square meters was charged at the rate of Rs 5 per square metre. They have been reduced to Rs 1 per square metre. Similarly, the inspection fee has also been reduced to Rs 1 per square metre. He said that the owners of plots up to 100 square meters had the apprehension that they would have to spend a lot of money to get the map approved, keeping this in mind this update has been made. Now their map will be approved for very little money.
Thousands of people will get relief
There are many such places in Moradabad including Galshaheed, Mughalpura, Faizganj, Maqbara, Diwan Ka Bazaar, Tehsil School, Moti Bagh, Jigar Road, Mughalpura, Beldaran, Chowki Hasan Kha, Lal Masjid, Kanjari Sarai, Neem Ki Pyau, Kachcha Bagh, Bazaar Ganj, Katghar Eidgah Road, where there are roads of four to five meters. Whereas in the master plan, roads of 9 to 12 or 18 meters are proposed. Under the new rules, the map can be passed even if the road is small. This will provide relief to thousands of families in the old city.
