Large scale transfer of IAS officers, Abhilasha Sharma becomes DM of Aurangabad

Patna. Bihar government has made a major reshuffle at the administrative level late on Monday evening. District Magistrates (DM) of many districts have been transferred together. This is being considered as the first major officer-level change after the formation of the new government. Under this reshuffle, DMs of many important districts including Aurangabad, Begusarai and Siwan have been changed.

IAS officer Shrikant Shastri has been removed from Aurangabad and made the new District Magistrate of Begusarai. Whereas IAS Abhilasha Sharma has been made DM of Aurangabad. She has previously worked on various important posts in the state government. Abhishek Ranjan has been made the District Magistrate of Maghepura.

Vivek Ranjan made DM of Siwan

In another important change in the major reshuffle, Bihar government has appointed IAS Vivek Ranjan as the new District Magistrate of Siwan. These large-scale changes have been made to speed up the work of the newly formed government and to increase administrative efficiency in the districts. Sources say that transfer of some more officers is also possible in the coming days. At present, the focus of the state government is on re-establishing the better image of Nitish model, giving faster pace to development schemes and maintaining strict vigil on law and order.
