New Delhi. 350cc bikes are very much liked in India. The reason for this is that it brings a balance of performance and affordable price to the buyers. The demand for these bikes is continuously increasing in major markets like Europe and Asia. However, there are not many options in this segment in India. Royal Enfield currently rules the segment of 350cc bikes. The company’s Bullet 350 and Classic 350 are the most popular models at present. There is no direct competitor in India to compete with them. Now Suzuki has made preparations to compete with Royal Enfield. Therefore, the company will launch many new models in this segment and present a new challenge to Bullet and Classic 350. Suzuki 350cc Motorcycle – What to Expect?
Suzuki may use an updated version of the existing 398cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine for its new 350-500cc bikes. This engine is already compatible with Euro 5+ emission norms. It generates power of 37.5 bhp, which is as per the requirements of A2 license in Europe. This engine is already used in Suzuki DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM bikes. Compared to the earlier carburettor setup, this all-new engine now features electronic fuel injection, dual spark plugs and ride-by-wire throttle. With higher cam lift, this engine delivers smooth performance and also meets the strict emission norms.

Suzuki may not have given any specific information, but the company has made it clear that it will target those segments where demand is high. According to UK data alone, sales of 126-500cc bikes in October 2025 stood at 1,416 units. This is the second highest figure after the 51-125cc segment. The best selling ‘Modern Classic’ bike across all categories in October was the BSA Bantam 350. Its total sales were 87 units, making it the most popular bike in the 126-500cc segment in Britain.
With whom will there be competition?
Apart from BSA, the presence of many other brands in the 350-500cc segment is continuously increasing. Royal Enfield continues to dominate the domestic market and is strengthening its hold in foreign markets as well. Apart from this, Triumph and KTM are working together with Bajaj Auto to increase business efficiency in the middle-capacity bike segment. Triumph’s 400cc bikes have become quite popular in the domestic and international markets. In October, the market share of Triumph 400cc bikes in the 350cc-450cc segment was 4.53%. Combined sales of Jawa Yezdi BSA stood at 6,922 units, giving it a market share of 5.10%. Royal Enfield leads this segment with products like Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350.
KTM also has a good sale
KTM 390 stood at number 10 in the list of best selling 350-450cc bikes in October. Another strong rival could be the BMW F 450 GS. Production of this bike has already started at TVS’s Hosur, Tamil Nadu plant. TVS and Norton Motorcycles will also use this new 450cc platform to launch their bikes. Norton bikes will also be available for sale in India. Making India a manufacturing hub: Companies like Royal Enfield, Triumph, KTM and BMW have improved their business by taking advantage of Indian manufacturing. Especially in the 350-500cc segment, where affordability is most important. It is possible that Suzuki may also adopt a similar strategy for its new 350-500cc bikes.

Suzuki has a strong presence in India with products like Access, Burgman, Avenis, Gixxer and V-Strom. Sales are more than 1 lakh units every month. Suzuki two-wheelers made in India are also exported abroad. The company is building a new plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, whose initial production capacity will be 7.5 lakh units annually.
