He passed not one or two but seven houses and entered the last house. Suddenly people sleeping inside their houses woke up and started running to save their lives. There was chaos in the entire area. It is fortunate that no one died in the accident. Some people have suffered injuries.
The incident took place in Tarha of Sinheshwar police station area of Madhepura. The high speed and uncontrolled highway truck suddenly rammed into seven houses situated on the NH bank. This accident, which happened with a noise like an explosion, terrified the entire neighborhood within a few seconds. At the time of the accident, many people were fast asleep in the rooms near the doors of these houses. Seeing the speed and force with which the truck entered, it is considered no less than a miracle that there was no loss of life.

Local people said that if the truck had moved a few more inches, a major disaster could not have been ruled out. Several animals, a bike and household items were turned into debris after being hit by the truck. Women and children were seen crying at the spot due to the havoc caused in the early morning. People came out of their places and came on the road and a crowd of local people gathered in no time. As soon as information about the incident was received, the team of Dial-112 immediately reached the spot. The police showed promptness and captured the unruly highway driver.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver was drunk, due to which he lost control of the vehicle. Villagers say that there is often a possibility of an accident due to heavy vehicles passing at high speed on the NH banks. He has demanded from the administration that security arrangements should be ensured on the roadside and strict action should be taken against those driving under the influence of alcohol. There is anger among the local people over the incident, while the police have seized the vehicle and started further investigation. The accident has once again raised serious questions on the safety of houses situated along the NH.
