Shimla/ Manali. The long running dry spell in Himachal Pradesh is not breaking. However, there has been light snowfall in the high peaks of Manali and Rohtang Pass. On the other hand, there are light clouds in Kullu Manali. The surprising thing is that there is bright sunshine in other areas of the state.
According to the information, there is sunshine in Shimla, Mandi Kangra and other districts of the state. However, it was cloudy last night. But the weather cleared in the morning. The peaks turned white due to light snowfall in Rohtang of Manali.
The Meteorological Department said that there may be rain and snowfall in the state on December 14. Then later the weather will remain clear for the next one week. Shimla Center said in its bulletin that the temperature will drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 24 hours. The department said that a yellow alert has been issued for fog in many areas of the state on December 8 and 9.
Shimla to other areas of cold region
Other areas in Himachal are colder than Shimla. The minimum temperature in Shimla has been recorded at 9.5 degrees. On the other hand, it was 5.7 degrees in Sundernagar of Mandi, 6.5 in Bhuntar of Kullu, Kalpa 2.6, Dharamshala 6.8, Una 5.4, Nahan 9.8, Palampur 7.0, Solan 3.7, Manali 6.7, Kangra 7.0, Mandi 7.1, Bilaspur 7.7, Hamirpur 5.7, Kufri. 6.4, Kukumseri -6.2, Narkanda 3.7, Reckong Peo 3.5, Paonta Sahib 9.0, Sarahan 4.1 and Tabo -1.8 degrees Celsius.

Leh Manali Highway closed
On the other hand, due to snowfall and continuous accumulation of black ice, Leh Manali Highway has now been closed. Earlier, on November 20, orders were given to close this highway. But later it was opened for 10 days because the weather was clear. Now drivers will be able to go only till Darcha ahead of Keylong.
