Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, once again the police tightened the noose on the miscreants to such an extent that the criminals lost their courage in many districts. At one place, a person carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 became limp and fell down, while at another, an ATM fraudster worth Rs 20,000 got shot and reached the hospital. A history-sheeter was killed in Meerut, a cattle smuggler was injured in Pratapgarh, while the police had the upper hand in the siege of murder accused in Sultanpur. UP Police’s ‘encounter style’ was seen once again. The action that continued from night till morning made it clear that there is no room for crime in the state, and escaping by running away is now not only difficult but almost impossible.
Lucknow: Pankaj Tripathi, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, arrested in ANTF encounter

There was an encounter with the miscreants of Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) late night in Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow. During this time, Pankaj Tripathi, carrying a reward of Rs 50 thousand, got injured after being shot by the police and was arrested. He was shot in the leg. Police have recovered pistol, cartridges, bike and Rs 2,000 from the spot. Pankaj is a gangster of Kaushambi district. His associate Narendra Tripathi was also arrested in the encounter.

During the checking of police and SWAT team in Kotwali Nagar police station area of Bulandshahr, there was an encounter with ATM fraudster Alfaroz Alam with a reward of Rs 20 thousand. Several rounds of firing took place from both sides. Alfaroz was injured by the bullet and was admitted to the district hospital. Alfroz is originally from Ghaziabad and is considered to be vicious in ATM fraud. Police recovered the scooter, illegal pistol and live and empty cartridges from him. The encounter took place near Balipura canal.

Notorious criminal history-sheeter Fakru was injured in the encounter in the joint action of Lisadi Gate Police and SWAT team in Meerut. There are 16 cases registered against Fakru including robbery, assault and arms smuggling. Police recovered a pistol and an unnumbered motorcycle from him.

Tension increased in Sultanpur when a young man was kidnapped and murdered yesterday. In the case, the police had registered a case against 10 people and arrested two accused. Today, on the information of the informer, the police surrounded the other accused, on which the miscreants started firing. In retaliation, a miscreant was shot in the leg and fell down. Police recovered illegal pistol and cartridges from the spot. The injured were sent to the district hospital.

Police had an encounter with animal smugglers near Bhikhampur canal culvert of Aspur Devsara area of Pratapgarh police station. During this, smuggler Omkarnath was shot in the leg and injured. Three cases of animal smuggling are registered against Omkarnath. Police have recovered a bike and a pistol from him. He has been admitted to the hospital.
