Badaun: It is said that when devotion takes root in the heart, a person stops caring about the world. Something similar happened in Byor village of Islamnagar police station area of Badaun, where 28 year old Pinky Sharma, like Meera, accepted Lord Shri Krishna as her life partner. Pinky, who was immersed in the devotion of Kanha since childhood, got married to the idol of Shri Krishna on Saturday with traditional Hindu customs. A pavilion was decorated in the house, a wedding procession arrived, Jaimala was held and seven rounds were also taken in front of the village.
Initially protested, then accepted her daughter’s request.
Pinky has been a devotee of Shri Krishna since childhood. She often went to Vrindavan with her parents. Her mother Ramendri says that at first she found this decision quite strange, but seeing her daughter’s devotion and faith, she agreed to this marriage.
Pinky’s father Suresh Chandra Sharma says that Pinky is the youngest among five children and has been of religious nature since the beginning. A few months ago, when she had gone to Banke Bihari temple, she found a pure gold ring in her anklet along with the prasad. Pinky took this as a sign from Kanha and decided that she would not marry any human being but would marry Shri Krishna only.
The entire village became the family member and the brother-in-law became the groom.
Pinky’s house was completely decorated on the wedding day. A pavilion was built nearby. His brother-in-law Indresh Kumar became the groom and arrived with a procession of 125 people. The idol of Shri Krishna was decorated like a groom.
As soon as the procession reached home, puja took place at the door. Then Pinky garlanded the statue and offered another garland to the statue. During this, the artists who came from Vrindavan also danced, due to which the atmosphere became very devotional.
The family happily married
Pinky got married last Saturday and the farewell ceremony was performed on Sunday morning. However, after the farewell, Pinky did not go anywhere, but started living in her own house.
Pinky’s father completely accepted his daughter’s decision and said that he is happy with whom the daughter has chosen as her life partner. He also announced that Pinky will be given her full share in the property like her sons. Mother, father, brother, sister, uncle and uncle all respected Pinky’s wish and boosted her morale by attending the marriage.
