New Delhi. After the cancellation of a large number of flights across the country, the anger of passengers on Indigo is increasing. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Ministry has given a clear order to the airlines to clear all pending refunds by 8 pm today. The ministry said that thousands of passengers have been affected by this disruption, so the airline will have to take swift action and contact all the affected passengers. The government has directed to create special support and refund facilitation cells, which will automatically reach out to passengers and provide refunds, updates and alternative travel options.
Instructions also received for auto-refund and baggage tracking
To normalize the situation soon, the government has asked IndiGo to immediately activate the auto-refund system so that passengers do not have to follow up again and again. Also, the airline has been ordered to locate and deliver all lost or separated baggage within 24 hours. Along with this, passengers have also been instructed to give updates related to terminal, delay and compensation in a transparent manner. The ministry has asked to ensure better coordination between airports, security agencies and airlines so that senior citizens, disabled passengers, students and medical travelers can get special facilities.
