Sultanpur Nathu Baba Mandir: In India, people have had deep faith in Gods and Goddesses since ancient times and Indian culture has always tried to connect people. Under this tradition, the temple of Nathu Baba, located about 35 kilometers away from the headquarters amidst dense trees in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, is considered an important religious and historical heritage, whose history is said to be about 60 years old. According to local resident Jitendra Kumar, this temple is located in Surhupur village and it was established by Moti Nishad of the same village. There is a pond on the northern side of the temple and statues of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shankar and Lord Ganesha are installed in the courtyard. Due to this complex being surrounded by dense trees, there is very little sunlight and it is called Nathu Baba’s Dham among the people. Villagers believe that by having darshan here, wishes are fulfilled, hence it is considered auspicious to bring the groom here for darshan before marriage.
