Mau News: The story of Dr. Uttam Kumar, working at Muhammadabad Gohna Community Health Center in Mau, is an example of dreams, hard work and courage. His dream of joining the military force remained unfulfilled, but he did not give up and after completing MBBS, today he is serving poor and helpless people in a government hospital.
Mau: It is said that people do what not to do to fulfill their dreams. But the story of Dr. Uttam Kumar, working at Muhammadabad Gohna Community Health Center in Mau, is different. He wanted to join the military force but due to family reasons and some of his physical shortcomings, he could not join the military force. But he did not give up to fulfill his dreams and today he is serving people by doing MBBS. Let us know his story.
Uttam Kumar was born on 5 February 1988 in Jamuva Hariram Gram Sabha Bankat, Azamgarh. His father was a farmer and his dream was to do a government job. Dr. Uttam completed his primary studies from Maulana Azad Inter College, Ajansathi, Azamgarh in 2003 and passed the intermediate examination in 2005. During this time, his dream was to join the military force but due to family restrictions and physical problems, he could not take this step.
After doing intermediate, he went to Allahabad in 2006 and started preparing for NEET. His parents and maternal uncle encouraged him that he should become a doctor and fulfill the family’s dream. From 2006 to 2010, he prepared continuously. During this period many problems arose and he returned home once because he did not pass the examination for the first time. But with the support of his family and elder brother Gautam, who is working in Uttar Pradesh Police, he started preparing again and passed the exam.
In 2010, he got an MBBS seat in BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur and started his studies. After completion of his studies, in 2016, he worked on contract in Chakrapanpur PGI Hospital. After working here for two years, his first posting took place in Khalilabad in August 2018. After this, working continuously, he is currently working at Muhammadabad Gohna Community Health Centre. Dr. Uttam tells that his family was poor but his courage was strong and that is why he has become a doctor today.

Dr. Uttam always kept interest in government job and social service. The dream of military force was not fulfilled but the courage to get a government job never broke. Today he gets great pleasure by treating poor and helpless people in the government hospital. Because of this, he never turned his attention towards private hospitals and has always maintained his priority in social service.
