Transport speed will increase
The area in the city where the speed of transportation is increasing is going to benefit the most. With the opening of Gorakhnath Overbridge, heavy vehicle load of more than 700 tonnes per day will be easily able to pass through the main roads of the city. This will not only reduce traffic jams but will also strengthen the industrial supply chain. The Municipal Corporation and engineering teams have set a target to rapidly complete the approach roads on both sides of the overbridge.
Land will be available for new factories
The industrial corridor is being developed rapidly along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. The administration has given green signal to the process of setting up more than 300 industrial units. This will include furniture, packaging, textile, electrical parts and food processing units.
Direct employment to more than 800 people
Officials say that in the coming months, more than 800 people are likely to get direct employment and thousands of people are likely to get indirect employment. The city’s entrepreneurs also welcomed the new investors and said that this will make Gorakhpur the industrial capital of Purvanchal.
Old buildings will be ready
To strengthen the tourism and cultural identity of the city, the Municipal Corporation has completed the construction of the museum. Old buildings are also being redesigned. The Chief Minister will inaugurate it soon. With this, Gorakhpur city will become not only an industrial but also a center of cultural attraction.
