Patna News: Police action was seen in Patna. Here miscreants kidnapped a minor boy while going to the library. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police came into action. Three miscreants who demanded ransom of Rs 5 lakh were arrested.
Patna: Crime is not showing any signs of stopping in Bihar. A minor student was kidnapped in the capital Patna, after which the police came into action and caught 3 kidnappers. The student was recovered safely. The miscreants had demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from the victim’s family and had also threatened to kill them if it was not paid.
An incident of kidnapping of a 17-year-old student came to light in the Fatuha police station area of the capital Patna. However, due to the quick and precise action of the police, the student was recovered safely. The matter is of Saturday, when Ajit Kumar, son of Naresh Rai, resident of Saidpur village of Salimpur police station area, had gone to study in the ‘Study Zone’ library located at Fatuha like every day. Ajit lives and studies at his maternal grandfather’s house in Gauripunda village.
Kidnapped while going to library
Ajit was kidnapped shortly after reaching the library. When he did not return home late in the evening, the family became worried. Then the kidnappers called and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from Ajit’s family. It was said on the phone that if the money was not given, Ajit would be murdered. The family was shocked by this sudden news and they immediately informed the Fatuha police. As soon as the matter came in hand, the police came into action.
three criminals arrested
The team under the leadership of Fatuha DSP 1 Awadhesh Kumar started tracking the location of the mobile phones of the kidnappers. On the basis of mobile tower location, it was found that the kidnappers were present around Majhauli village of Salimpur police station area. After this, the police team raided Majhauli village without any delay. Police recovered Ajit Kumar safely from a house. Along with this, three kidnappers were also caught. The arrested accused have been identified as Aditya Kumar and Vikas Kumar of Majhauli village, and Akhilesh Mistry of Sonaru village of Fatuha. Police have also recovered two motorcycles and two mobile phones from them, which were used in the kidnapping.
The family heaved a sigh of relief
Giving information in the press conference organized at Fatuha police station premises, DSP Awadhesh Kumar said that the police took timely action, otherwise the matter could have become serious. He said that the kidnappers are being thoroughly interrogated to find out whether anyone else is involved in this incident. The family members of student Ajit are heaving a sigh of relief after finding their son safe.
