Shashank Shekhar/Jehanabad: Arwal district is now going to get relief from the problem of traffic jam. Because a 13 km long bypass will be constructed here. Approval for the construction of greenfield bypass has been given by the Central Government. Rs 666 crore will be spent for bypass construction. Actually, the demand for bypass in Arwal city has been there for years, which now seems to be coming true.
Due to heavy traffic on National Highway 139 in Arwal, there is always a traffic jam in the city. To deal with this, the Road Construction Department sent a proposal for the construction of a bypass to the Central Government.
Now there is problem of traffic jam
Let us tell you that the problem of traffic jam persists continuously inside the city. Due to the presence of Teen Mohani near Bhagat Singh Chowk, vehicles are seen moving. Because NH 110 and NH 139 meet at Bhagat Singh Chowk only. Due to long queues of vehicles, it becomes very difficult for the passengers to walk on the roadside. Many times shopkeepers have also had to face some problems due to excessive pressure of vehicles. In such a situation, people have even complained to the DM.
Bypass will be built with Rs 666 crores
The bypass to be built in Arwal at a cost of Rs 666 crore will be 13 km long. With the construction of this bypass, road connectivity between Patna, Arwal and Aurangabad will improve. Besides this, business will also get a boost. Movement of people will also become easier.
Due to the construction of the bypass, the traffic of heavy vehicles passing through the cities will be diverted outside. There is also a provision for construction of city side service road in these bypass projects, which will provide convenience to local traffic and residents. This will reduce traffic jams, congestion, noise and pollution in urban areas.
