Motiya village of Godda district came into limelight in the country a few years ago when Adani Power Plant was established here, but before that this village had another identity in the entire state. Motiya village of Godda is a village where most of the people are in government jobs. In this village, there are everyone from doctors and engineers to postmasters, IAS, IPS, judges and PCS officers. Due to this, this village is very famous in the surrounding areas as well as in the state.
Motiya village under Sadar block of the district is famous throughout the district. Many stories and legends of this village are famous in Bihar and Jharkhand, but along with all this, this village is also very conscious about education. Hundred percent of the population of this village has a government job at home. In some houses of this village you will find bank officers and in some houses you will find doctors, engineers, railway employees, collectors, teachers and judges. Most of the people doing government jobs in this village live outside their homes.
Village head Ashok Chaudhary said that almost 70 percent of the population of this village consists of Brahmin families, who belong to the same Chaudhary family. Talking about the population of the entire village, Motia has a population of approximately 6,000 people in 1,000 houses. Apart from the Brahmin family, there are people with government jobs in every house of other sections of the village.

Presently Himanshu Shekhar Chaudhary of this village is posted as the Chairman of Jharkhand Food Commission in Ranchi.
There is a government middle school in this village which provides education from first to eighth class. There is a government high school where studies are conducted from class 9th to 10th. There is +2 high school here which teaches classes 11th and 12th. Apart from this, there are 4 Anganwadi centers and a hospital in this village.
Along with this, Vidhan Chandra Chaudhary of this village, who is currently the District Judge in Jamshedpur district of Jharkhand, and Kumud Chaudhary retired from the post of IG a few days ago.
