Mughlai Paratha is liked by everyone due to its unique taste and can be included in lunch or dinner with curd, pickle or dry vegetable.
Mughlai Paratha originated in India during the Mughal Empire, it was first prepared in Delhi and North India, but now it has become popular throughout the country. Especially in Bengal, North India and Hyderabad, it is eaten with great enthusiasm. Its special taste and filling make it different from other parathas.
Recipe to make it
The ingredients required to make Mughlai Paratha include 3 cups wheat flour, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons ghee, 2 cups water, 4 eggs, half cup finely chopped onion, finely chopped coriander, 2-3 finely chopped green chillies and salt as per taste. Ghee or oil is used for baking. The method of making it is very easy. First of all, mix wheat flour and maida, add ghee to it and gradually add water and knead a soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. After this, divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll it into a light round.
Beat the eggs and add onion, green coriander, green chilli and salt. Now after this, heat the pan, roll out a ball and fry it lightly on both the sides, after this spread the egg mixture and put it on the paratha. When the egg cooks a little, fold the edges of the paratha into a square shape and apply ghee on both sides and fry until it turns golden. Serve hot paratha with curd, pickle or chutney of your choice. If you cannot eat egg then cheese or mince can also be used as filling instead.
