Nainital: The changing demography of Devbhoomi has also worried the government. Construction has been done keeping the rules in mind and the climate of the mountain has also changed rapidly. But now all those houses in Kumaon are under investigation and the sword of demolition is hanging over them. These houses have neither maps nor permissions. But still they remain. But now the investigation of all such houses in Kumaon has been intensified.
Demography is changing rapidly in these districts
In the first phase, not only these houses built in 100 yards will be inspected. Rather, a report is being prepared on benefits derived from registry to electricity and water connections. Along with Nainital, all such plot houses from Almora, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar are being investigated, which are against the standards and have been built anywhere without any permission.
Demography changed in the last 15 years
The administration is preparing to take action up to demolition on such houses. In fact, in the last 15 years, the atmosphere of Devbhoomi has changed from Udham Singh Nagar to Pithoragarh. Coming from outside states, construction was done on small plots in VIP cities like Nainital, from green zones to dangerous places. Although complaints were made many times, no action was taken at the administration level.
Nainital became the biggest victim
Not only was the map of these houses passed, but the standards and rules were also kept in mind. The situation worsened to such an extent that Nainital district became the district with the most demographic change. Although the locals are saying that the investigation is correct, they are talking about the rights of the people of the hills. However, after Chief Minister Dhami ordered to scrutinize the documents of 10 years, the administration has become active. But if these houses are examined properly then it is certain that many people from a district like Nainital will have to pack their bags. But the big question is whether the investigation into the officers during whose tenure these houses were built will ever be completed.
